Although this was knitted and designed for my rather petite, 7 year old ballerina, Beth, this will fit a variety of ages. The top also fit, a ‘regular’ sized 6 year old, and was a cute dress for a rather petite 18-month old! Buttons or ribbon can be used to close the top therefore creating an easily adjustable sizing system!

A note on gauge….unblocked/unwashed/unstretched:

26 sts = 4” in the garter stitch pattern
38 rows = 4”

25.5 sts = 4” in stockinette stitch
34 rows = 4”

washed/blocked/but not stretched much at all:

23 sts = 4” in stockinette stitch
25 rows = 4”

Measurements for sizing: The top measures from back of neck down to the hem after washing and while blocking 17.5”, around the eyelet waist 23.5”, from shoulder down to eyelet waist 8.5”, and from the bottom of the armhole to the eyelet waist approx 3”.
