This pattern is for a ballet shrug for an American Girl or other 18 inch doll. I have tried to write it for those who are gauge challenged, as I sometimes am, with measurements for how long/tall each section should be and where to add or subtract rows to make your gauge work.

I have tried this pattern with three different yarns that are supposed to be sport weight, although one is more of a DK weight. Some yarns worked better with an F hook for me and others a G.

My tester was able to create this without meeting the height gauge that I had by using the measurements I have given.
