Welcome to Balloon Jamboree, a mosaic overlay, interactive, crochet pattern suitable for beginners. It comes with charts and a full written pattern. The pattern is 180 stitches wide and only 240 rows. When completed it measures roughly 47 x 62 inches. The pattern tells you which rows are colour and which rows are white to make navigating it a bit easier.

The best part is that you can personalise the pattern.
Included are three blank balloons with just the outlines so you can have a go at designing your own balloons. They slot straight into the pattern as the outlines are exactly the same as the full pattern. But you don’t have to, you can just follow the pattern as it is.

I used normal DK yarn and 4mm hook and used roughly 600grams of white and 550grams of colour. I used surplus cake silver, which is the Lion Brand Mandala Phoenix with a silver thread through it. For the second throw I used Wendy Supreme Seagrass and Coral, Cygnet Buttercream and Indigo and a 1st choice Shade 50 with white as the main colour.
