Single length cowl (60cm) requires one hank each of two shades (shown in Scots Pine and Lichen). Double length cowl (120cm) requires two hanks each of two shades (shown in Thistle and Thrift).

This simple cowl is knitted as a tube then seamed or grafted (depending on your preference) to form a cosy, double-thickness loop.

This yarn is incredibly soft, spun by Todd and Duncan in Kinross just down the road from the Wee County (Clackmannanshire) in Central Scotland. Washing the finished item will really let the yarn bloom, the stranding creates a very dense, warm, wind-proof fabric.

The pattern is inspired by curtain material found in the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom.
