Bamboo
Inspired by the fiber content of its yarn, Bamboo features a simple rib pattern that mimics the texture of the bamboo plant. Worked from the toe up with a heel gusset that does not require picking up stitches, Bamboo is simple enough for a first-time sock knitter, but engaging enough for a seasoned one. The light fabric created by the recommended yarn is ideal for warmer weather. Use a solid, light-colored yarn to highlight the bamboo texture, or a darker one for a more subtle effect.
