Bandana Cowls for the Family
Ribbed Bandana Cowls for the whole family! Pattern includes five sizes from toddler to adult XL.
This close-fitting ribbed cowl to wear inside your parka has a folded down neck, bandana triangle in the front, and a flare at the back of the neck (so it will stay tucked in). Make a matching ribbed hat using my free “Hats from the Heart” design.
Sizes – ribbing will stretch this far to go over the head: 20”,
21”, 22”, 24”, 26”; then it will snug in to wrap the neck.

Needle - size 8 US (5mm), 16” circular

Yarn needle
Soft worsted weight yarn (it will be touching your neck):
approx. 90 (110, 128, 164, 225)yds
Matching hat – 92 st, 10.75” bef dec – 160yds (adult XL)
88 st, 9.75” bef dec – 140yds (child L-adult M)
80 st, - 9” bef dec – 120yds (child S-M)
Gauge: Measured over 2x2 ribbing, relaxed (not stretched): 30
st. x 24 rows = 4 inches.
