This hat takes advantage of Lorna’s Laces String Quintet Packs: five small skeins of coordinating colors. Held doubled and changed at intervals, it produces a gradient that alternates between solid colors and marled blends. The result is a stylish, slouchy beanie that can have a surprising color at the top!

This is a very quick knit, so it’s perfect for last minutes gifts!

Sizing info:
Band width when laying flat: 6.5 inches
Length from cast on edge to top of crown: 9.5 inches

Gauge notes: I am a very loose knitter, as a point of reference I typically size down by 2 needle sizes for most patterns, so if you’re having a hard time getting the gauge, use that as a guide. Stitch gauge is more important than row gauge to get a nice tight fit on the band.

Yarn: I had leftovers from my knitting of this pattern. This could be a great stash buster if you have about 100 yards each of 5 coordinating colors of fingering weight yarn.
