This is a very simple hat to make and showcases a specialty yarn, Wave from Jo-Ann’s, near the bottom edge. The hat is finished off with a shell edging.

Options for customizing the pattern include:

• Using a different type of specialty yarn for the band
• Change the edging to be just hdc if you wanted to make this for a male.
• Clean out your stash by changing colors throughout the hat to use up the dibs and dabs of yarn you have

Required stitches are sc, hdc, and a 5dc shell
