This pattern is part of the Banded Cable Hat Pattern. This pattern is no longer available by itself.

First came the Banded Cable and Horseshoe Cable Hat. Now I have designed a pair of matching pair of wrist warmers. It uses the same techniques as the hat pattern but on smaller needles. It can also be done on double pointed as will as the magic loop method after you make the cable band first. The band is seamed with the Kitchener Stitch after the hand part is done on straight needles or before if done in the round.
It’s an easy pattern and works up quickly. The closeup Rose Colored wrist band is the Horseshoe Cable Design and the other is the basic Cable Pattern. They can be made smaller by reducing the amouth of cables by one and the amout of picked up stitches. If you knit loose the will be a little larger and if you knit tight they will be a little bit smaller. Also you can change the size of needle to make them small or larger instead of changing the amout of stitches and rows.
Any worsted weight yarn will work. I perfer the softer yarns for the feel when they are worn. Since you use 100 or so yarn, ball, skein, or hank will be enough to make a pair. I usually can make a pair of wrist warmers and a matching had out of one skein of Plymouth Encore (200 yd) ball.
