Have you listened to Tango music played on a Bandoneon?

So fun! Just like these socks. Play with colors, choose your cuff, and then dance the night away in a great fitting pair of shorty socks.

Begin these top-down socks by choosing between a sophisticated ruffled or standard ribbed cuff, followed by a heel flap and gusset. Colorful bands, like an accordion (Bandoneon!!!), make for a great fit—especially for kids and gift knits!

Sizes toddler through adult. The pattern includes specific fitting instructions for both child and adult sizes in the band/toe section. (And no, you’ll never notice those bands once you’re up and dancing—they feel just like a standard stockinette sock.)

Knit these for yourself, or for a fun person in your life! The ribbing on the instep plus the color bands allow some flexibility for a fantastic fit.

Toddler (Child, Adult S, M, L)
Finished size: 5” (6”, 7”, 8”, 9”) / 13cm (15cm, 18cm, 20cm, 23cm)
Toddler/Child: Finished size should fit with no ease.
Adult: Finished size should fit with 0.5” to 1” negative ease.
Measurements are for the circumference of foot, measured at the widest point.

Gauge
8 sts x 12 r = 1”/2.5cm in stockinette
Gauge is not blocked.

Yarn
1 - 100g skein fingering weight yarn
3-4 - 20g mini skeins fingering weight yarn
Toddler Size requires 3 CCs. All other sizes are written for 4 CCs.
