This is a beanie with a bottom rolled edge. The hat features a decorative section around the middle that is surprisingly easy to knit, using only knit and purl stitches. While there isn’t a separate bottom band to this hat, the bottom of the hat is knit using the smaller needle size to snug up the fit.

The decorative section is fairly gender neutral so this hat could be suitable for either gender; just choose your colorway accordingly.

Size: Child to Teen
The sample hat measures 8¾” from top to bottom, and 16½” around the bottom edge (unstretched). The top-to-bottom measurement was made with the bottom rolled edge gently unrolled.

The hat is stretchy and will comfortably fit up to a 23” head. If desired, the fullness of this hat can be adjusted by knitting additional rounds of stockinette.
