Banksia is a pattern for a cushion cover, and the charts provided can be adapted to a number of other projects. Instructions are included for scaling up the size of your project.

To complete this project, you will need approximately 400gm of 10-ply yarn (~500m), comprising:

• about 200gm of the detail colour and
• about 200gm of the background colour

The project can also be made using other fibres and needles, all of which will produce different results.

The pattern includes charts for the main front panel and the main back panel. It also includes basic instructions for assembly.

The finished size should be approximately 50 x 50cm.

It is knitted on a circular needle as a single colourwork panel with a crochet edge recommended. This is not knitted in the round, but experienced knitters could easily make this adaptation.

If you are knitting the pattern in wool, you might consider knitting it in the round and then steeking the join. If you are knitting in cotton, DO NOT KNIT IN THE ROUND AND STEEK. Cotton fibres do not felt together like wool fibres do, meaning the edges will not be secured.
