In just about any landscape in Australia, you will find Banksia, one of my favourite bush flowers. Its characteristic flower spikes and geometric leaves were the inspiration for Banksia Shawl, a simple asymmetrical triangle that makes the most of two skeins of fingering weight yarn. The rich toffee shades and graphic lace sections of the sample evoke the golden tones and bold shapes of this beloved flower. Knit on the bias with easy garter sections to set off the lace, Banksia Shawl is a relaxed knit and an elegant, wearable finished piece.

Both written and charted instructions are included for the lace section.
