The 2022 Banned Books Advent set was used to design this shawl, reminiscent of a bookshelf with 12 banned books represented on the shelves. The wide garter edging adds to the coziness of the shawl. Didn’t get an advent? Use dk minis, or scrap yarn!

Finished Size: 20”x 58” once wet blocked, easily modified; instructions included.

Yarn: Chicken Lady Fiber Arts Banned Books Advent set, 75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon, 245 yards/100g; approximately 830 yards in total. Sample used 12x20g and one full size skein from the Banned Book Advent set, totaling approximately 321g/786 yards.
Needles: 24” or longer circular needle, size 5 US (3.75mm), or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 20 stitches and 24 rows/4 inches in gently wet-blocked stockinette stitch. Gauge is not critical for this item but will affect yardage used and drape.
