Banquo Drape Cardigan
This cardigan is knitted with hand spun alpaca blended with Jacob fleece. The Jacob gives the varied shades of brown, which I particularly like. I am told that alpaca knitting drapes well, but tends to sag, so I wrote this pattern aiming for a draped effect rather than a fitted shape. I copied the upper shape from an old cardi, because the dropped sleeves and seams that run behind the line of the shoulder are flattering to those of us with a square set physique. The knitting is only simple, but I am very happy with the shape.
