The playful Baobab Tank begins with a wide ruffle worked with a single strand in garter-stitch rib. It is then joined to the narrow rib at the bottom of the main body, which is worked with two strands held together. The eyelet pattern gradates into simple stockinette stitch from the hem to the body.

Yarn Spud & Chloë Fine Sock (80% superwash wool, 20% silk; 248 yd 227 m/2¼ oz 65 g): #7815 Red Hot, 7 (8, 9, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) skeins. Yarn distributed by Blue Sky Fibers.

Needles Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16” and 32” circular (cir). Size 6 (4 mm): 24” cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

• The body of this tank is worked in the round from the lower edge to the underarm, then the upper front and back are worked separately back and forth. The lower ruffle, neck edging, and armhole edgings are worked with a single strand and the body is worked with a double strand.
