Barbara shawl
Textured shawl featuring a very fun and meditative stitch sequence.
The Barbara shawl is worked flat in broken garter stitch by repeating a simple sequence of knits and purls which makes it suitable for beginner knitters. The result is a textured and tridimensional piece.
This triangular-shaped shawl is started at the tip, and increases are worked on one side until half of the total length is achieved. Then, a set of decreases is worked on one side to shape the triangle and create the other tip.
Depending on the style you are looking for, you can wrap it once or twice around your neck. In addition, you can knot it at the chest for a more contemporary look.
The pattern also includes instructions to make a little bandana.
