❤ 2.5mm (UK 12 - US C/2) crochet hook
❤ Darning needle
❤ Scissors

Please note that the first 2 chain stitches of every row count as a half-double crochet stitch. When the pattern is in letters and numbers, make only half-double crochet stitches.

TENSION (GAUGE)
28 stitches and 18 rows to 10 cm, 4 in, measure over pattern using a 2.5mm (UK 12 - US C/2) crochet hook. It’s important to check your tension (gauge) before starting as working to the wrong tension could result in your work being the wrong size. Before beginning, crochet a tension swatch at least 13cm, 5in square and measure your tension. If there are more stitches and rows than stated, try again using a thicker hook. If there are less stitches and rows than stated, try again using a thinner hook.
