This pattern is available for both straight needles (seamed down the back) and knit in the round (with a circular needle or DPNs)

You only need about 35m / 38 yds / 10g of the main colour & scraps of a contrast colour to do 2 rows stockinette for the belt (optional).

For the straight needles version, use the cable cast on for a tighter neckline or the knitted cast on for a looser neck that can also be worn off the shoulder (links to video demos in pattern).
