I have designed 6 individual patterns for Barbie Princess outfits. There is no cross referencing between the patterns so you are able to print off what you need, when you need it. I have:
SNOW QUEEN
MERMAID
SCOTTISH PRINCESS
SNOW PRINCESS
SNOW WHITE
BRIDAL DRESS (for the happy ever after ending) .
They all use DK yarn and are knit on straight needles, mostly 3.5mm but Snow White’s collar is knit on 3.0mm and the bridal veil on 6.5mm. Each outfit uses less than 40g of yarn in various colours (too many to go into detail but I found that I had enough little bits and only invested in a ball of turquoise sparkly yarn for the Snow Queen’s cloak). It’s possible to compromise on the colours, the bridal dress can be knit in any colour to create an evening dress. I used Disney Princess dolls for the Mermaid and Snow White photos with the rest being Barbie. The nice thing about knitted outfits is they will adapt to any 12” doll.
