Knit from the top down, with german short rows to create the cloche shaping, Barcelola features a mosaic beaded band, and a two-layer short row brim that uses Lola’s Two-Timing Technique to avoid any seaming!

Pre-strung square Japanese beads in four harmonious colors dance along the band like Gaudí himself planned them. Oh, and the contrasting color lining? A little wink that says, sí, this cloche has more to it than first meets the eye. One thing’s for sure—you’ll never be bored-elona with this project.

CC- 32 yards 29 meters sport weight yarn

One set US Size 4 3.5 mm double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
Ndl A- One US Size 4 3.5 mm 16 inch 41 cm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge (body of cloche)
Ndl B- One US Size 3 3.25 mm 16 inch 41 cm circular needle, or one size smaller than needed to obtain gauge (beaded band and brim lining)
Ndl C- One US Size 5 3.75 mm 16 inch 41 cm circular needle, or one size larger than needed to obtain gauge (brim)
Stitch markers, tapestry needle, 30 inch 76 cm length of stitch saver or spare circular needle (optional- for Lola’s Two Timing Technique)
