Barcelona Shawl is design for the lazy Lace knitters. This shawl is knitted in One-piece construction, with my favorite method of Knitting Sideway.
Best yet there is no pick up 100s stitches for ruffles or the endless bind-offs.
This shawl is 99% K st. on every row. (except 3 purls due to the double YO)

A special note on yarn usage: allocate 30% to first Increase section, 40% to Center section then 30% to Decrease section. This way you will not worry about that you may run short or have too much left over.
This method can apply to Marseille shawl or Gentle Wave shawl.

Note for you ladies want to use Khata yarn:
I am just about finishing the shawl in Khata-Roof of the world K5@ 700yd per skein.
Up to 51 sts before Marker A.( 23 sets Inc.) Then 23 sets repeat for the Center portion, then go on finish the rest of the shawl(another 23 sets Dec.
It only slightly smaller then the Prairie pink one. Love love love it.
** Barcelona Gold: in Rowan Panama, 7 balls. the main body has 50 sts include I-Cord. The center is extra long.
