The #barcelonadreamingsweater is an everyday, cool and soft summer sweater using Tina tape yarn. It is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. First the back of the yoke is worked, then the shoulders, then the front of the yoke and finally the body in the round. It’s finished with I-cord edges and soft balloon sleeves. The inspiration for this sweater is to wear it on those summer evenings when you go out to eat and for drinks while on holidays by the sea, but it is so wearable that I wear it anywhere and every day. This sweater was designed during the COVID-19 pandemic when I was unable to fly home to Barcelona to visit my friends and family. It has been a long year of uncertainties where knitting this sweater has given me the motivation to carry on smiling. I am releasing the pattern as I am finally on the plane back home, dreams come true.

(Note: sizes 3XL and up are based on calculations and have not been tested. However, the same calculations were used to successfully obtain the other sizes. If you would like to test knit any of the following sizes please message me instead Sizes available for test knitting: 3XL, 4XL, & 5XL. I will provide you the pattern in exchange for feedback and suggestions.

Choosing your size and fit:

The #barcelonadreamingsweater is designed to have approx. 5cm // 2.5 inches of positive ease, meaning that it will add 5cm // 2.5 inches in circumference than your bust measurement. Before beginning your project measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust to determine which size will fit you best. If you would like a more oversize fit, size up. The sweater is designed to be cropped, but if you would like to add more length consider the additional yarn.

Tina tape yarn – Wool and the gang- 100g = 150m (1yds) Aran Worsted

Materials:
-7mmUS - circular needles with 40 and 60, 80 or 100 cm 16 and 24, 32 or 40 inches
-5 mm US 8 circular needles or 5mm US 8 DPNs
-Few stitch markers
-Measuring tape and scissors
-Tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Gauge:
14 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches in stockinette stitch on 7 mm needles (wet block!)
