Inspired by a trip several years ago to the ancient cities of Tunis and Sidi Bou Said, and all the wonderful architecture and mosaic tile work I was privileged to see, I designed a motif-edged, loose-fitting, wrap cardigan to throw around myself when the weather dips and remind me of my trip. Named after the Bardo National Museum in Tunis, Tunisia, which has one of the largest collections of Roman mosaics in the world.

Because of the loose nature of the fit the sizing is very forgiving and can comfortably be worn by many body types. It can be worn loose and open or thrown up to a shoulder and pinned.

The intarsia pattern is charted and worked up in three colors. The body is worked sideways, with bound off/cast on stitches for the armholes. The sleeves are knit flat from the bottom up before being added to the body and seamed. The seams help the wrap keep its shape through the shoulders.

Because the body is one long rectangle, the most important measurement is your shoulder width.
