Bardolino Buttoned Beret
This another fantastic pattern by the Spotlight team. It is labeled as “intermediate” as sewing up and using fisherman’s rib in the round can be a challenge for beginners. If however, you are a beginner and up for a challenge - go for it! The instructions for a fisherman’s rib are included in the pattern notes, however you may wish to look into how to P1B and K1B.
The main part of the hat is made in the round using fisherman’s rib. The band is made separately and later attached to the main part.
Although this yarn is now discontinued you may be able to find a suitable one which works for you in terms of the gauge suggested. I would begin by looking for a superbulky yarn which utilises 8mm (US11) needles and go from there.
Finding circular needles which are 8mm (US11) and 40cm (16”) may be a challenge. I suggest then that you knit it flat and sew up.
