Barefoot in the Cabin
This design features the ever-traditional Log Cabin block. Log cabin quilting is created by selectively piecing strips of fabric around a central square. Modern quilters have taken this block and run for the hills with it. The versatility and creative results are endless and beautiful! This is one of those designs that could completely change with the yarn choice. I intentionally selected the earthy woolly yarn from Kauni to make an accent rug. However, the more I look at this design, I see other possibilities. How cool would this look hung lengthwise as a wall-hanging? Or what about an eclectic table runner if knit in a smoother cotton?
