Barents Hat
The Barents Hat was inspired by the matching Barents Cowl. The cowl came first, and I was so in love with the pattern stitch, I wanted to create a hat using the same design.

Great for adventurous beginners and experienced knitters alike, this hat knits up quickly and looks more complicated than it really is - perfect for last minute gift knitting!
Despite its lacy appearance, this hat will keep you warm through the winter thanks to the merino and alpaca fibre content of the yarn. The silk just adds to its luxurious softness.
The stitch pattern of the hat evokes thoughts of waves and icy seas. I barely blocked this hat so that the rumpled texture remains.
