Bargello Socks
Put bargello, a type of needlepoint embroidery associated with furniture from the Bargello palace in Florence Italy, on your feet! Worked in stranded knitting, zigzags in varying widths create an all-over pattern. Place the stripes at random, or use a wildly coloured self striping yarn as the background colour to make your pair of socks unique.
The socks are worked cuff down with heel flap and gusset. The gusset decreases are done at the sole towards the middle of the sole.
