Inspired by Bargello embroidery, the top of the tam has almost a floral pattern. This tam uses only one color per round. A variation of False Flame stitch is used to create the pattern.
A fun way to use up small amounts of worsted weight yarn. The blue and green sample tam shown used between 20 and 35 yards each of 5 different colors. Stripe width can be varied as well.
The stitch pattern and the decreases for the top are both written and charted.
