Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rnds = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch. 16 sts = 3”/7.5 cm in Rib stitch. The yoke should be approximately 8 inches at the end of the chart measured at front center.
Notes: Hold 1 strand of each yarn together throughout the pattern. A DK yarn may be used in place of the two modeled yarns.
This sweater is worked in the round from the top down with a seamless lace-patterned yoke. Short-row back neck shaping is worked first then the lace pattern begins, with the increases distributed evenly around the yoke. Once the yoke is complete, the stitches for body and sleeves are divided. The Bottom Band and Cuff Ribs are set for the specific stitch counts in the pattern; if these stitch counts are altered the rib stitches will need to be adjusted. The sleeves and body can easily be lengthened by adding more rounds. There is no body shaping after the divide; the rib stitch does add some natural body shaping. The pullover is modeled with no ease, but if you desire a looser fit, choose a size that measures slightly larger than your bust.
