Barn Owl
This little barn owl is cute, cuddly, and highly customizable. Made in a size optimal for child cuddling, the colors can also be switched out to make other species of owl, but for a true barn owl use Wool of the Andes in ‘Almond’, ‘Chestnut’, ‘Cloud’, and bits of the colors ‘Coal’ and ‘Caution’.
This written pattern includes pictures and a checkbox next to every direction so you’ll never forget where you may have left off.
Required skills:
- wrapping and turning (abbreviated w&t)
- I-cord
- basic embroidery skills
- increasing and decreasing (kfb, pfb, k2tog, ssk, m1)
- working in the round on dpns
- duplicate stitch/ french knots
- mattress stitch
Although the list of required skills may be daunting, there are helpful online tutorials that will help you learn/refresh your skills. This pattern is for intermediate knitters, but end result is absolutely adorable! Enjoy!
