Barn Swallow Socks
Inspired by early American quilts, Barn Swallow Socks reflect a vintage, heirloom look. The simple moss diamonds are reminiscent of antique patchwork while the swallow-tail lace side panels mimic the intricate embroidery of many log cabin quilts. These elegantly rustic socks are worked in Qunice & Co. Tern, a gentle blend of tussah silk and pure wool that produces delicate stitch definition with an aged, laundered appearance. These top-down socks are worked in the round in your preferred method and feature a patterned, short-row heel. This pattern is offered in both charted and written form and in three sizes.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:
Barn Swallow Socks are “very challenging” for the beginning sock maker, and “interesting” for the intermediate sock knitter.
FINISHED SIZE:
Ladies Small: 7-1/2” in circumference (fits shoe size 6 to 8)
Ladies Medium: 8” in circumference (fits shoe size 7 to 9)
Ladies Large: 8-1/2” in circumference (fits shoe size 8 to 12)
All sizes require 2 skeins of Quince & Co. Tern
