Vintage Selbuvotter ( Selbu style mittens) sized for a two year old.

Pattern calls for “1 fedd” each of two colors of the no longer available yarn. Similar mittens take no more than about 25 grams each of the two colors required.

The yarn used would have had a “harder” surface and contain more lanolin than modern yarns so the mittens would be water resistant and very sturdy.
