Barnoon Hat
The first pattern of the St Ives Collection, this stranded colourwork beanie hat, Barnoon is inspired by my favourite views across the rooftops of St Ives, Cornwall and the work many artists have produced reflecting the unique colour and light of this fishing community turned artists’ colony.
The pattern uses colours selected from the wonderful palette of Jamieson & Smith to create abstract images reminiscent of sea, sky, gulls and rooftops. Along with the influence of traditional Fair Isle motifs, the amazing KNITSONIK Colourwork Sourcebook had a big hand in creating this design.
Pattern is for a slouchy-fit hat to fit head size 55-59cm/22-23in. Model pictured has 57cm head size.
