The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Queensland, Australia, is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. With mystifying lure, the sheer assortment of marine life within the Reef is one of the aspects that lead to the great attraction. Inhabiting a plethora of perplexing species, the Great Barrier Reef is home to stunning colorful fish, sharks, turtles, dolphins and many other sea creatures.

With the Barrier Reef shawl, I have aimed to encapsulate the above-water beauty of this mesmerizing body of water. Adding a unique stitch such as brioche and even with basic garter striping, I attempted to capture the ever-changing, jumbling shades of the ocean. Gorgeous from both overhead and below the water, the Great Barrier Reef is a pallet to many unique colors; when knitting this shawl, it is your decision which perspective you would like to knit it from based on the colors that you choose!

The Wanderlust Collection is a set of knitwear designed specifically to encapsulate the beauty of the world. The inspiration behind this collection sprouted from the desire that I have to travel; I hope someday to have the opportunity to visit all of these magnificent places. All designs are created with the intention of portraying colors from different cultures and communities across the world.
10% of the purchase price of each purchase from the Wanderlust Collection will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.
