This pattern outlines the instructions for knitting up a pretty adorable bat stuffie. The little guy is made up in six individually worked pieces, only one of which calls for stuffing. The primary head/body piece, along with the belly patch, can both be worked in the round. The wings and ears should be worked flat. Measures roughly 6” tall.

NOTIONS:
Pair US 6 / 4.0 mm knitting needles
Sewing needle

MATERIALS:
15g Aran/Bulky Weight Main Color
10g Worsted Weight Wing/Belly Color
Small amount Embroidery Thread

GAUGE:
Different size needles and yarn can be substituted. Gauge is not important for this project so long as the Head/Body piece knits up tightly. If the fabric does happen to be see-through, consider stuffing with shredded yarn in matching hue in favor of white fill. The weight of the Wing Color yarn and Belly is more flexible and of lesser consequence. It can and should be a little lighter in weight than the Main Color to eliminate unnecessary bulk.

SKILLS:
Basic knitting technique, with simple increases, decreases, and seaming. Small amount of embroidery - back and whip/ ladder stitch.
