Bartok
Be sure to add the INDIVIDUAL pattern at check out if you’re playing Itinerant Knitter trivia today! And please take a moment to visit Auvergne and give it some Ravelry love, too! THANKS!
ERRATA: In the book version only, the Bartok key shows “2” as “On Wrong Side, P3tog through the back loop.” It should be “On Wrong Side, P2tog through the back loop.” The knitter should purl TWO (2) stitches together through the back loop. Error does NOT appear on the individual pattern.
Bartok lace shawl is a beautiful two-color lace shawl. Incorporated into the design is a combination of a repeated two-sided lace pattern with some quick moving garter and eyelet rows to make a very large triangular-shaped shawl.
This pattern is one of 12 new original designs to appear in my new eBook INDIE FRIENDS. All designs feature yarn dyed by independent dyers here in the US and in Canada.
FYI: when choosing yarn, make sure each skein has AT LEAST 500 yards. I have two options for finishing and with only 500 yards, you’ll want to use Option A as you’ll not have enough yarn for an additional 5-6 rows of Color A for Option B, so yes - you’ll be cutting it close! If you have 550 yards of each skein, you’ll have plenty for either finish option. Happy Knitting!
