SKILLS
To knit this cushion you need to know how to knit and
purl, knit in the round, be familiar with slipping stitches,
cast on stitches with any method (although the long-tail
cast-on is recommended), and perform the kitchener
bind-off. You also need to have basic sewing skills to sew
a zipper to the opening of the cushion. Moreover, it is
essential to be able to follow charted instructions, as
they are used for the slipped-stitch colourwork detail
of the body of the cushion and written instructions are
not provided.

CONSTRUCTION
This cushion is knit from the top down, it is started at
the top and ends at the bottom of the cushion. It is
worked in stockinette stitch in the round, with a slippedstitch
colourwork motif in the middle. The bottom of
the cushion is grafted together with the kitchener method,
and a zipper is sewn at the top closure.

GAUGE
23 stitches and 32 rounds in 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” in
stockinette stitch, without blocking.

YARN
2 balls of Alpaca Classic by Rowan in Colour 1 (main
colour) and 1 ball of Alpaca Classic by Rowan in Colours
2, 3 and 4 (contrast colours) (57% Alpaca, 43%
Cotton; 25 g / 120 m; 0.88 oz / 131 yd).
The colourways used are the Green Moss 111 as Colour
1, the Salmon 128 as Colour 2, the Foliage Green
110 as Colour 3 and the Copper Clay 119 as Colour 4
for the green version, and the Deep Teal 109 as Colour
1, the Ice Blue 131 as Colour 2, the Pink Lips 124 as
Colour 3 and the Golden Girl 114 as Colour 4 for the
blue version.

NEEDLES
3.5 mm US 4 circular needles with a cable length of 40
cm 16”, or the required needle size to obtain gauge
(without blocking).

OTHER NOTIONS
1 stitch marker for the beginning of the round. Tapestry
needle to weave in ends.
1 zipper, 40 cm 15.75”. Needle and matching thread.

NOCIONES PREVIAS
Para tejer este cojín es necesario saber tejer punto
del derecho y del revés, tejer en circular, montar
puntos mediante cualquier método, aunque
se recomienda el de la hebra larga; la técnica de
los puntos deslizados y cerrar puntos mediante
el método kitchener, así como tener nociones de
costura con el fin de coser la cremallera superior.
Es imprescindible saber leer gráficos, ya que las
instrucciones para tejer el cuerpo del cojín con el
detalle en puntos deslizados se dan únicamente
en forma de gráfico.

CONSTRUCCIÓN
Este cojín tiene una construcción top-down, es
decir, se empieza tejiendo por la parte superior y
se termina en la base del cojín. Se teje en punto
jersey, en circular con un motivo de puntos deslizados
en el centro. La base se cierra mediante
el método kitchener y en la apertura superior se
coloca una cremallera.

23 puntos y 32 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x 10 cm
4 x 4” en punto jersey, sin bloquear.

y 1 ovillo de Alpaca Classic de Rowan en los

Los colores utilizados son el verde claro 111 como
color 1, el rosa 128 como color 2, el verde oscuro 110
como color 3 y el teja 119 como color 4 en la versión
verde, y el azul 109 como color 1, el azul claro 131

114 como color 4 en la versión azul.
