Bashful Fireflies
A cuff-down sock with Integrated Heel construction, Bashful Fireflies is a subtle design with a gentle glimmer.
The staggered Knot Stitch repeats add textural interest to solid colours and highlight the drama of variegated yarns.
Stitch count & gauge instructions are provided for fingering weight and sportweight yarns.
The pattern is written for Magic Loop, but includes instructions for adapting it to DPNs and short circulars.
This pattern is suitable for adventurous beginners.
This pattern features Integrated Heel Construction
The Integrated Heel looks and fits similarly to a traditional heel flap and gusset, but is worked almost entirelyin the round.
You will especially enjoy the Integrated Heel method if:
. you have a strong preference for knitting in the round
. you have a tendency to ‘stall out’ on sock projects
. you enjoy seamless sweater shaping and wish socks could be more ‘sweater-like’ to knit (only took much less time, of course!)
To read more about Integrated Heel construction, see: Basic Sock with Integrated Heel .
This pattern is eligible for the Integrated Heel Knit-Along!
