This is the knitted version of my very first Ravelry pattern, the Basic Baby Dress.

It is as beginner-friendly as I can make it. It’s worked in one piece from the top down. Like my BQ Baby Tee, it features an open neckline that makes it easy to pull over a baby’s big head.

I’ve included instructions for short & long sleeves, three different waistband options, three different skirt options, and two different edging options. That said, they’re all quite basic and this pattern is intended to serve as a sort of blank canvas. I look forward to seeing what you create!

Also, I only just realized that I forgot to tell you to weave in your ends when you’re done, but you already know to do that, right?
