Basic baby sweater
Hi!
Thank you for making this basic baby sweater!
This is my very first clothing pattern where size is important. On my first try, I made mistakes. The pattern was originally in 4 sizes. The largest size could fit a newborn except from the sleeves. That’s why I had to rewrite it. Make sure to consult the measurements in the pattern!
This sweater is only available in one size: 0-3 months. It’s meant as a start for making clothing.
I used Scheepjes Softfun, this yarn is baby friendly because it is non-pilling and breathable. The yarn consists for 60% of cotton and 40% of acrylic. One skein has 140m and 50g. I used colour 2401, which is much darker than on the pictures.
I used 4 skeins, so about 490 meters.
To check if you have the right gauge, crochet the following swatch: 21 DC stitches and 12 DC rows. You should have a square that is 10 cm x 10 cm.
All the pieces are crocheted together, because it looks more firm. I just put the pieces next to each other and SC my way around. Feel free to use a different technique.
Have fun and tag me in your finished work!
