Tee shirts aren’t strictly necessary for cloth diapering, but they sure do make things easier, especially if you like to use woolies like I do.

This is a simple (maybe advanced beginner) t-shirt that pulls on over baby’s head and simply works. It takes perhaps two hours to make, and is simple enough to serve as a blank canvas for your imagination.

I’ve been making these for my own babies for years. I’d be lying if I said it they’re super exciting, but there’s a real sense of accomplishment to put your baby you made in clothes you made.

Any sort of worsted weight yarn is appropriate here. I like cottons and cotton blends, but they’re not at all necessary. As long as it is machine washable, you’re good to go.
