This is a pattern I wrote down after years of just doing it and measuring. I’m a teacher and our One Book One School text for the summer was The Fault in Our Stars. This pattern was written for my students’ use to make caps to donate to cancer patients through Crochet for Cancer (www.crochetforcancer.org). I am sharing it here in hopes that more people will donate to this wonderful charity.

Several hats can be made from one skein of yarn which will vary depending on what size you make. The softer the yarn the better.

In the pictures, I’ve embellished the hats. The pattern is just for the basic hat.
