Basic Black Plus-Size Skirt
Cotton yarn or Simply Soft would make good substitutes. I used what I had on hand. Acrylic will stretch and soften in wash, so I counted on that when I designed this.
I’m using a black slip underneath, but you could line it very easily.
Measurements: 49” hip and 21” length Approx. size: 3x-4x
Length can easily be changed by adding more or less rows.
Size can be adapted by using a smaller hook or changing the starting chain count. Your first chain should be a multiple of 10 plus 4.
This skirt is worked as a rectangle and then I sewed up the short ends to make a back seam. Then I added 1/4” elastic for the waist. I measured my waist and sewed the ends of the elastic together. After the skirt was done, then I single crocheted the elastic on the the waist.
