Basic Border Blanket
This is a simple and unique blanket, made using the Filet technique of crochet. This pattern is written in US and UK terms. Just download whichever version you prefer. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.
It uses DK yarn. You can use any weight of yarn and hook to suit your preference but this will alter the size of your blanket. It uses approximately 400g of yarn if following this pattern.
I used 400g of Stylecraft Special DK in Silver
If using DK yarn a 4.0mm crochet hook is required, and scissors and a tapestry needle are also needed to complete this project. Stitch markers are helpful but optional.
A larger blanket will need more yarn.
If following this pattern your finished blanket will be approximately 30 inches by 38 inches
The pattern is written with row-by-row instructions, a chart, and a shorthand version of the instructions allowing you to use whichever method you prefer.
