Keep baby protected from wind or bright sun when carrying in the car seat and, as pointed out by fellow Raveler lalael, the prying eyes of strangers at the supermarket!!! The dark main body of the blanket tent keeps out the bright lights, and the textured stitch makes it more dense and heavier to keep the wind out. Yardage is not yet given as it hasn’t been tested, but I used less than one skein of the Caron One Pound and then smaller amounts of other yarns for the edging and appliques.

The basic pattern allows you to embellish and adapt to gender and theme/color preferences. Have fun!
