I designed this pattern after searching everywhere for a basic pattern to use for those plastic Christmas tree ornament baubles. These are great to pick up after Christmas on sale and stock up on for the following year.

This pattern features a disappearing loop cast on and also has invisible increases for a clean look. It is knit in the round from the bottom up and knits up in about 20 minutes. Perfect for markets or gifts! Gauge is not super critical as this can stretch around the bauble.

Pattern includes inspiration for various customizations (embroidery, duplicate stitch, colorwork, stitch patterns, etc).

Pattern would also work without plastic bauble, knit with a smaller gauge needle and stuffed with poly-fil.
