At one time or another most of us need a quick and easy knit, perhaps as a last-minute gift or to replace a favourite accessory that’s been lost or misplaced. Enter the basic beanie hat, and even better yet, enter the chunky basic beanie hat.

Basic beanie hat patterns are easy to come by — there are dozens, if not hundreds, of free patterns available. This is simply my take on a classic, and one that I wanted to share with knitters around the globe.
