Basic Drop Sleeve Cardigan
This crochet sweater features a relaxed, cropped fit with a modern, oversized silhouette. The design includes balloon sleeves that taper into fitted ribbed cuffs, creating a comfortable yet stylish drape. The body of the sweater is slightly boxy, with a ribbed hem that cinches in for a flattering fit. The button-up front is framed by a thick, textured ribbed band, offering both structure and style.
The sweater’s design incorporates a playful mix of solid and striped sleeve patterns, giving it a contemporary feel while maintaining a timeless, cozy appeal. With its versatile fit and classic button-front closure, this sweater is perfect for layering and can be easily adjusted for various body shapes and sizes.

Pattern Notes
-
This pattern has cardigan size XS-3XL, in the pattern usually marked XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL). Measure your Bust and whichever size your measurements fall under is the size that you will follow along to. This will be a relaxed fitting cardigan so it should fit comfortably, not too big and not too tight. The sleeves are slightly oversized but still a pretty relaxed fit.
-
This cardigan is worked from the bottom up, in 3 panels (left, right, and back). Once those panels are made and we seam them together, we will then add on the sleeves directly to the cardigan along with the ribbing for the inside edge and then the bottom edging.
-
Ch 1 at the beginning of each row does NOT count as a stitch at anytime in this pattern unless otherwise stated
-
At the end of each row I have written the total amount of stitches in that specific row.
-
For example “(hdc, hdc2tog) 5 times” means to work all instructions between the parenthesis a total of 5 times.
-
When we work in the raw edges of the work it’s always (sc in 2 rows, 2 sc in next row)
