This is a basic hat with the optional earflaps.

You will also need a yarn needle and a bread tie (for the braids).

I like using HDC for hats because it cuts down on the amount of spacing in between stitches and makes it warmer.

In the future I will be designing other “parts” to attach to the hat to create characters. You can use this pattern for hat portion. Best part, it’s FREE!
